Low-Level-Laser Therapy for General - Medical / Health Care - Clinical Services
The development of laser technology extends back to the time around 1920 to Albert Einstein. After the first laser was constructed in 1960 the advances in laser technology developed in leaps and bounds.
Details
First medical works on the treatment of poorly healing chronic wounds were already authored in 1968 by the Hungarian physician E. Mester. Today the mode of action of the low level laser therapy has been very well researched through numerous studies. Scientifically acknowledged efficacy validations are available for many indications.
What is laser light?
Laser light is a form of light with special properties. This light, which due to its physical characteristics is very dense in energy, can be visible or also be invisible. Through the high energy content and the special characteristics one achieves very good therapeutic effects with certain diseases.
How does the soft laser therapy create its effect?
The low level laser therapy is a regulation therapy. Through the irradiation electromagnetic energy is brought to the site of the irradiation and there it is transformed to biochemical energy. This causes an influence on the cell metabolism of disturbed or damaged cells.
Various biochemical processes are activated in the cells, whereby the Mitochondria play a central role in the description of the cellular mode of action of the laser therapy. This serves for the improved defence against the disease and consequently the accelerated healing.
Clinical effects:
- Pain reduction
- Improved circulation
- Reduction of inflammations
- Acceleration of the wound healing
- Reduction of the infection risk
- Reduction of swellings
The Haemo-Laser® therapy utilises the energy of laser light for the direct irradiation of the blood. Thereby the laser light is conducted through a special disposable light conductor directly into a vein (e.g. lower arm vein) and thereby immediately acts on the individual blood components.
The following effects can be observed through the Haemo-Laser® therapy:
- Increase of the erythrocyte deformability
- Decrease of the erythrocyte and thrombocyte aggregation
- Increase of the deformability of the extra cellular 'cloud' (boundary layer cell – blood plasma)
- Decrease of the blood viscosity
The Haemo-Laser® therapy improves the metabolism, increases the circulation and thereby the oxygen supply. This can be clearly substantiated on the basis of laboratory analyses.
