COPD Patient Freed from Coughing Spells and Medicine
Ms Jonna Nielsen has smoked most of her life – and continues to do so though diagnosed with COPD years ago. The 48-year-old Danish single mother still wants to stop smoking but no longer thinks of herself as a COPD patient, while the severe coughing spells and derived muscle pain have gradually disappeared in the course of six months. The turning point was a visit to the hairdresser.
For years, Jonna Nielsen suffered from severe coughing spells caused by COPD.

My hairdresser uses an air purifier to prevent the harsh hair products from causing a bad indoor climate in the salon. Coughing speils declined in strength and the resulting muscle pain subsided. All in all, I felt much better and got more energy. In the course of six months, the coughing attacks completely ended and it was no longer necessary to use inhaled medication. Practically, I no longer think of myself as a COPD patient, says the Dane who is completely free of medication - except when she is away from home for days.
When away for several days, it is still necessary to use an inhaler. I get a heavy feeling in the head and I cough, but not as fiercely as before. The problem can be solved by bringing one of my air purifiers.
