Medtronic’s ‘reducing energy use’ strategy

Organisation: Medtronic was founded in 1949 as a medical equipment repair shop. Since then, it has become a multinational company that partners with medical professionals to develop life-changing technologies that improve the way chronic diseases are treated and to create therapies to help patients.

Project summary:  In 2010 and 2011, Medtronic received several environmental awards (EPA Energy Star,  LEED,  and  Green Globes) in recognition of its ongoing  ‘sustainability and energy use’ strategy  achievements through enabling employee involvement leading to positive behavioural change.
