PMB peer review resources launch
Our referees play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of quality that PMB is known for and we are extremely grateful for your time and expertise. To help you, the PMB Editorial Board have developed a series of resources focussed on peer review that we hope you will find useful.
Research by PMB Editorial Board members highlighted by Physics World interviews
See Katia Parodi discuss her research on improving ion-beam therapy with acoustic waves, Bas Raaymakers describe using MRI to enhance radiotherapy with the MRI-linac, and Editor-in-Chief Simon Cherry explaining how the EXPLORER project will revolutionize PET scans.
PMB article transfer policy from high impact journals
The Editorial Board of PMB are willing to consider articles submitted to highly regarded general scientific journals that have not been accepted for publication due to limited broad impact or priority. These papers could have a significant impact within the medical physics discipline and, as the leading international medical physics journal, PMB may be a more appropriate outlet. These papers could receive expedited processing and authors should ensure they adhere to the PMB article transfer policy which applies to all article types, including Letters.
Physics in Medicine & Biology now publishes Letters
Letters are outstanding short papers that report important, timely new developments in medical physics and that benefit from expedited review. Letters should not exceed 3000 words and should be accompanied by a written justification. Submit yours today.
