1997 - 2000

Cerus Medical founded

Cerus Medical founded by John Power and through a merger with Aerogen Inc in 2000 the company was launched on the NASDAQ.

2000 - 2007

Aerogen’s first product launched

Aerogen’s first product, the Aerogen Pro is launched. Aerogen is acquired by Nektar Therapeutics, however 2 years later there is a management buyout of Aerogen from Nektar.

2008 - 2011

Aerogen wins IMDA award

Aerogen wins IMDA award for excellence for the Aerogen Solo with John Power being named a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year. High speed automated manufacturing is established in Ireland.

2012 - 2014

Reaching over 1 million patients

Reaching over 1 million patients, Aerogen win the IMDA Company of the Year Award and the Irish Exporter of the Year Award. Aerogen gains approval for the Chinese marketplace and establishes an Aerogen US headquarters in Chicago.

2015 to 2019

Reaching over 9 million patients

Reaching over 9 million patients worldwide Aerogen wins the AARC Zenith annual award for 5 consecutive years. John Power named the European Entrepreneur of the Year 2015/2016 and receives the IMDA Award for outstanding contribution to Irish Medtech. New regional offices are opened in Germany, the Middle East, India and Hong Kong.

2020

Galway HQ expands

Galway HQ expands to facilitate growing team. Aerogen’s products have helped benefit the lives of over 10 million patients in 75 countries worldwide.
