Atrostim Phrenic Nerve Stimulator (PNS) is used to stimulate the phrenic nerves of patients to maintain artificial respiration. The most common patient groups who benefit from the use of PNS are patients suffering from Respiratory Muscle Paralysis, RMP or Central Alveolar Hypoventilation, CAH. The use of PNS requires normal function of phrenic nerves and diaphragm muscle.
