About Us
At Avisi, our mission is to restore health and promote vitality.
Our Story
Avisi was founded in 2017. As students studying business and engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, Rui Jing Jiang, Brandon Kao, and Adarsh Battu saw an opportunity to apply their interdisciplinary skills to commercializing a novel nanotechnology for the greater good. Through the Y-Prize, the President’s Innovation Prize, and National Science Foundation SBIR program, VisiPlate evolved from a concept to a device. The diverse and expert team we have today is dedicated to our mission to restore health and promote vitality for patients around the world, and VisiPlate is just the beginning.
