Extension Sets and Manifold Connectors
Extension sets: In infusion therapy, extension lines are frequently used for administration of infusion solutions and medication. The lines extend existing infusion systems, where required, to complete administration systems for application-specific requirements and can also be used togehter with other medical devices such as syringe pumps. CODAN offers a wide product range for extension sets. All tubes are equipped with Female and Male Luer-Lock adapter, with optionally integrated CODAN Check Valve and different injections sites. The extension sets are available in various tubing lengths, diameters and materials. Manifold connectors: Manifold connectors are used for combining various infusion lines and available with two or more Female Luer-Lock adapters ending in one patient line. The Female Luer-Lock connectors can be equipped with CODAN Check Valve or a SWAN-LOCK®.

CODAN - Critical Care Blood Sampling System
The CODAN pvb Critical Care blood sampling system XL is especially designed for applications during invasive blood pressure monitoring where arterial blood sampling must be performed remotely from the patient or applications where more volume is to be aspirated prior to blood sampling. A typical place of use is, for example, cardiothoracic surgery, where the patient is covered extensively and blood has to be taken close to the pressure transducer. The blood sampling system XL is optionally equipped with one or two sampling points. This allows various departments easy access to blood sampling – starting, for example, with the first blood sampling in the anaesthesia department, followed by blood sampling in the intensive care unit – without having to change or disconnect the system.
Transfusion Sets
CODAN transfusion sets were developed for transfusion of blood and blood components and are suitable for gravity and pressure administration (with compatible volumetric infusion pumps) as well as for pressure cuff driven transfusion applications. The transfer of blood and blood components has become indispensable in everyday clinical practice. Among other things, the responsible handling of patient blood as a scarce resource is in the focus of the actions of medical personnel. In close collaboration with doctors and nurses, CODAN has developed and produced transfusion systems for more than 60 years with a focus on ecological and economical patient blood management.
