EU Cosmetic Product Certification
In the European Union, cosmetics are regulated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs. The regulation applies to all cosmetics, including hair dyes, perfumes, skin creams, and makeup products. Cosmetic products in the European Union must be certified before they can be marketed and sold. The certification process is designed to ensure that the products are safe for human use, and that they meet the required quality standards. The certification process includes the evaluation of the product’s ingredients, labeling, and packaging.
