The hyperactive metabolism of cancer cells is extensively modified to support their unsustainable consumption of nutrients, which is what allows cancer cells to reproduce rapidly. Yet cancer cells lose their ability to make certain nutrients on their own like healthy cells do. Instead, cancer cells must obtain these nutrients from the bloodstream and from body fluid. Our laboratory experiments demonstrate that when supply of these nutrients is cut off, cancer cells die — whereas healthy cells continue to grow as they normally would.

Filtricine’s Innovative Technology Restricts Nutritional Support to Cancer Cells. Our strategy is to eliminate cancer cells’ access to  non-essential amino acids, which the cancer cells require for growth. Our first technology is used in the development of exclusive replacement meals that can cut off the supply of target nutrients to cancer cells when consumed as the sole source of nutrition.  This technology restricts cancer cell’s nutritional support, while non-cancerous cells continue to receive all the necessary nutrients needed to remain healthy.
