Mission
H&D is an Italian company devoted exclusively to research and marketing, all over the world, in the field of oxidative stress measurement , starting from 2003.
Thanks to our internal working group and the collaboration with some of the most prestigious Italian universities, we carry out research and development both from a chemical and an electronic / computer point of view.
The FRAS system (Free Radical Analytical System) is the most used system for measuring Oxidative Stress. It is through our research that the d-ROMs Fast , PAT and SAT tests have been created and patented over the years, today considered the most innovative, precise, simple and inexpensive tests available to the researcher and the clinician. and the health worker.
Furthermore, thanks to the work of our engineers, we have developed a series of simple to use, precise and reliable systems for measuring Oxidative Stress, such as FRAS 5 , FRAS Bravo and MiniSat , as well as having developed an innovative software for the interpretation and the management of the results of the Oxidative Stress, OB Manager .

History
- At the end of the 90s the first researches and studies on the measurement of d-ROMs (pro-oxidant component) begin .
- The first experimental model of FRAS was developed in 1999 , which made it possible to carry out the test on whole blood in a simple way.
- In 2000, the FRAS 2 model was developed , without a printer, mainly made available to Italian researchers (avoiding the need to go through the laboratories).
- In 2002 the FRAS 3 model was developed , with printer and centrifuge integrated into the instrument. This was the first tool designed not only for researchers but also for physicians and medical specialists. The FRAS 3 started to be sold outside Italy in research and universities.
- In 2005 the FRAS 4 model was developed , to which the BAP test for the evaluation of the antioxidant component was added in order to have a complete evaluation of the oxidative stress in its pro and antioxidant components.
- In 2007, the first software for the interpretation and management of oxidative stress results, Win Os Manager, was developed .
- At the beginning of 2009 H&D moved to the new headquarters , located in the immediate vicinity of the city.
- In 2009 the FRAS 4 Evolvo was developed which allows serum / plasma tests for greater precision with a new body and new internal software.
- Between 2011 and 2012 , H&D internalized the production processes both in terms of instrumentation and reagents, obtaining ISO 9001: 2008, UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 13485: 2003 certifications .
- In 2012 the FRAS 4 Evolvo P was developed , with the introduction of two new tests: the PAT test for the antioxidant component of oxidative stress, precise and executable in just 1 minute (replacing the BAP test, which is less precise and requires 5 minutes) and the SAT test to measure the antioxidant component of saliva in 1 minute.
- In 2013 , MiniSat was developed , a new system for measuring the antioxidant potential in saliva, using the SAT test.
- In 2014 H&D obtained the UNI EN ISO 13485: 2012 certification
- In 2015 , FRAS 5 was launched , a new system for assessing oxidative stress, where all previous experiences have been carefully applied and improved.
- In 2016, the FRAS BRAVO , an essential system for blood testing, was launched and the new software for the interpretation and management of oxidative stress results, OB Manager, was developed.
- In 2018 H&D obtained the ISO 9001: 2015 and UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 certification and FRAS 5 is equipped with a new software that makes it even more precise, reliable and responsive to the detection of redox conditions.
- In 2019 we obtained the ISO 13485: 2016 and UNI EN ISO 13485: 2016 certification and the OB Manager was implemented to achieve an even more targeted and satisfactory patient redox management in clinical practice.
- In 2020 the WellLife test was developed , the first test that evaluates antioxidants in saliva using a colorimetric scale and therefore does not require the use of any tool.
- In 2021, the new search engine for publications on oxidative stress, BibliOs , was developed . In addition, the WellLife Check-up is carried out which allows you to carry out the first check of a person's state of well-being. The check is carried out through the execution of the WellLife test and the compilation of the WellLife Questionnaire which lead to the final WellLife Report which indicates the virtuous path to follow to obtain or maintain the state of well-being.
