Our technology and software concepts for customers are the basis for functioning IGZ projects. In addition to the required profitability of our work results, we also attach great importance to sustainability, so that our solutions also reliably fulfill their tasks in the long term.

In line with this approach, we base our thoughts and actions on a strong partnership with our customers. We strengthen our customers` market position and at the same time provide them with the best possible protection against risks.

It is also important to us to create a reliable basis of trust in order to maintain long-term partnerships.

They should continue to drive the development of our customers and us as IGZ.

Trees are regularly planted on the IGZ campus in Falkenberg. They are a symbol of our contribution to climate protection, as they absorb the greenhouse gas_CO2and are known to release oxygen. They also stand for "grown" business relationships with our customers and business partners.

For example, this maple tree, which is around 4 meters tall, has found a new home with us and was planted together. It stands for a 15-year, very good business relationship with one of our customers.

In addition, we want to be a home for people who bring us forward as a company with their ideas and to whom we want to give space for the development and growth of ideas right from the start.

With the IGZ buildings, the so-called "software barns", we combine tradition and modernity, the tried and tested and the innovative. We are committed to the history and culture of our company`s origins in the Upper Palatinate (Bavaria).

And the software barns logically embody our progress and the milestones of our company`s development.

We rely on natural substances

Reliable, long-lasting effectiveness and always transparent - this is precisely the approach IGZ takes when planning and building its own spatial capacities. To achieve this, we rely on natural materials: wood, granite and glass play a prominent role in the architectural concept of our software barns. Both in the exterior façade design and in the interior, wood embodies durability and underlines the demand we place on lasting quality.

Anything based on long-term values requires security and stability. Granite embodies these values in our building concept : secure retaining walls made of granite blocks reinforce the IGZ building structure. Granite lends robust stability to the exterior façade and rock-solid floors. Our striving for the transparent and transparent integration of software is reflected in the use of glass as a building material: large window fronts to the outside and inside as well as glass roof elements ensure brightness and create a positive atmosphere.

We pursue maximum efficiency and environmental compatibility in our heating and air-conditioning systems. Several heat pumps with a total of more than 100 boreholes, each driven almost 100 meters deep into the best Upper Palatinate granite, ensure the best climatic conditions at minimum cost and maximum environmental compatibility. This is also guaranteed by the circulation of energy via heat exchangers. This is supported by several ventilation systems including heat recovery.

CO2 savings and environmental protection in projects

Our solutions actively support our customers in measuring and saving CO2 emissions and energy consumption - true to the motto: "The best energy is the energy you don`t need." Below are a few examples from our portfolio along the supply chain to illustrate the associated requirements for solutions in our projects:

Production

In our production solutions (production control), we are able to evaluate your energy consumers such as machines or aggregates in order to determine and visualize the consumption of electricity, gas, water, etc.. Based on these evaluations, we can intelligently control the machinery, taking into account the order load, so that your machines do not always have to be operated at full capacity in order to process orders on time.
Furthermore, at off-peak times when the load is lower, operation in energy-saving mode is also sufficient.

Logistics

The same also applies to highly automated logistics systems, in which storage and retrieval vehicles also do not always have to drive and accelerate at full power in order to manage the required order load. In addition, intelligent energy recovery solutions are now available to "recapture" and feed back some of the energy required.
Often, however, simply making energy consumption transparent (visualization) helps to ensure that operators in factories or in intralogistics pay attention to precious energy and avoid energy peaks.
In warehouse logistics, we help to ensure that forklift trucks and racking vehicles always make the shortest possible journeys and routes with sophisticated route optimization. Avoiding unnecessary journeys, empty runs or avoidable storage cycles is usually an underestimated factor in a holistic energy-saving concept.

Shipping & transportation

During shipping preparation , we use intelligent algorithms to help you massively avoid the generation of CO2. We ensure this by, for example, calculating the optimum combination when selecting packages and packing patterns in order to pack as little "air" as possible in cartons. Instead, the carton volume should be fully utilized and as little packaging material as possible should be used. Optimally packed shipping cartons or pallets naturally also mean that less freight space is required in vans or trucks.
Load space optimization helps to store pallets in trucks or containers/trailers in the most space-saving way possible. Here, too, compaction makes sense in order to avoid leaving unnecessary empty space.
During transport planning and execution, our solutions help you to find the most CO2-efficient route and avoid unnecessary transhipments (e.g. hubs): As a result, it is very often possible tosave more than 40% CO2 in both national and international transports, even with lower freight costs and, of course, the same adherence to deadlines.
