Human pathogenic bacteria have evolved an "invisibility cloak" which allows them to go undetected by the human immune system. This "invisibility cloak" is similar to what our own cells use to avoid immune attack.

Before a patient can start an extra-corporeal treatment, like dialysis and cardiopulmonary bypass, the extra-corporeal circuit must be primed. This involves flushing the circuit with saline, or similar solutions, to remove air and any particulates, and to ensure there are no leaks. By integrating our proprietary technology, the H-Guard Priming Solution is being designed to reduce the symptoms and complications risked by patients as a result of their immune response to the extra-corporeal circuit.
