Biobanking
INLANDYS® automated platform integrates with existing tanks and LIMS, for any size of biorepository. Guarantees user safety, Ensures all sample traceability, Maintains sample integrity, Improves biobank management efficiency. As the number of stored samples continuously grows, and thus the number of manual retrieval and storage operations, automation of cryogenic biobanks is a key opportunity to improve both sample quality and user safety. Automation that matches with existing equipment and practices. IRELEC has designed, INLANDYS®, a full automated system with a unique architecture, that fits with existing biobank equipment and database software: The system is built with a standard storage architecture: samples are stored in boxes stowed inside racks in cryogenic tanks, It works with the existing tanks, by just adding an automation kit, It is linked to the biorepository database software.
Synchrotrons
X-Ray Detector Robotic Handling
This robotic system is intended to the high stability and absolute positioning of the detector, in order to observe diffraction patterns. The robot can move the detector around a full sphere (=500 mm) centred on the sample, so as to identify a direction of interest for the diffraction. Then the robot moves the detector in the identified direction, up to 5 m away from the sample, so as to collect high resolution diffraction patterns. This experimental set-up is performed automatically with a very high accuracy and reliability. The robotic platform is made up with a last generation robotic arm Stäubli TX2 integrated onto a horizontal translation stage built on granite blocks for optimal mechanical performances (repeatability and stability). The data acquisition is synchronized with the robotic system motions and the detector is equipped with sensitive skin panels for safety reasons.

Custom KB Systems
Tailored design adapted to any specific beamline layout: Flexible design, Dynamically-figured mirrors, Low backlash motion stages, UHV compliant. Based on unique technology for dynamically-figured (bent) mirrors, IRELEC proposes custom Kirkpatrick-Baez mirror systems design fully adapted to any specific need. The high performance, adaptability, excellent repeatability and very high stability of these systems are made possible via the technologies mastered by IRELEC: HFM and VFM with sensibly different sizes, All focusing configurations (upwards, downwards, sidewards), Specific and independent translation and rotation stages, Mechanical integration on existing stands, Specific geometry for vacuum chambers adapted to the constraints of the experimental station.
