About us
Iron Creek’s technology can be powered by renewable fuels, providing guaranteed remedial endpoints on fixed timelines with cost certainty.
This advanced remediation technology is mobile, 100% waste-free, sustainable and cost effective. It addresses the shortcomings of traditional thermal soil remediation technologies and methodologies. Importantly, it uses alternative fuel sources like hydrogen to power environmental restoration.
Our Process
Our clients depend on our team to deliver complete remediation of all organic contaminants, safely, on time, and on budget.
Remediation of Explosives-Impacted Soil
Reclaim land with explosives-impacted soil. Our Enhanced Thermal Conduction technology safely restores soil, allowing cities and states to safely rebuild. Pictured is a photo from the notable Ravenna Army Ammunition Plant in Ohio where artillery was made for WWII, the Korean and Vietnam War.
Restoring Antarctica`s Soil
Restoring Antarctica's Soil
Treating Contaminants from the Arctic Circle to Antarctica, our technology meets the most stringent environmental regulations on the planet, taking our team to Antarctica to restore impacted soil in challenging conditions
Soil Restoration Edson Pipeline
Soil Restoration Edson Pipeline
11,000 tons of hydrocarbon impacted soil in Edson, Alberta was restored in approximately 6 months. Our Enhanced Thermal Conduction technology utilizes petroleum-impacted soil to fuel the restoration treatment.
70-Year Old Hydrocarbon Contaminants
70-Year Old Hydrocarbon Contaminants
The remediation of this heavily impacted hydrocarbon dump site in Yukon’s City of Whitehorse took 11-months to fully restore.
Unparalleled Advanced, Patented-Technologies
- Safe, predictable & cost-effective.
- Proven methodologies to delist waste, reducing paperwork.
- On-site treatment eliminates the liability associated with transporting hazardous waste.
- Our patented systems are mobile, fitting into the cargo area of small planes, allowing for the restoration of contaminated soil and sediment in the most pristine places on Earth, like Antarctica and the Arctic Circle.
- Treated soil can be safely seeded and revegetated to facilitate surface reclamation, sustainable plant growth and equivalent land capability.
- There is no requirement for soil pre-treatment or screening.
- Our process is 100% waste free. There is no reject material from treatment.
- We work within the confines of the site and are proficient at adapting to meet the needs and regulations of the location.

The photo on the left shows the visible change in soil after Enhanced Thermal Conduction treatment. Because the operation is static, the process doesn’t pulverize the soil like other thermal treatments. Thus, the soil maintains the integrity of its structure while it’s evenly penetrated with heat. ETC can treat even the most thickest clays. The material on the right is the treated soil; clean, odorless and free of hydrocarbon staining.
70 years of contaminants, gone in 11 months.
Iron Creek Group flew in their exclusive, patented Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) soil remediation technology and used the 70-year-old hydrocarbon-impacted soil to help power their specially patented thermal conduction process, eliminating contaminants and restoring the land.
“When we first got to the site there was tar and oil bubbling up from the ground, literally everywhere we stepped. After 70-years of contamination, it took us only 11 months to completely restore the land to standards for residential use, while exceeding the stringent environmental regulations of the Canadian and First Nation governments.” Ken Bell, CEO of Iron Creek.
Once the soil was treated, tested and safe for use, it was backfilled into the site. The exclusive ex-situ thermal remediation process kept approximately 1,000 truckloads of contaminated soil off roads and out of landfills, reducing contingent liability, greenhouse gas emissions and the expense of trucking in 36,000 tons of non-native soils to fill the void.
Iron Creek’s technological innovation introduces green, sustainable, waste-free practices to the thermal remediation industry.
