The Odyssey XF Imaging System, developed by LI-COR, merges the precision of Near-Infrared (NIR) and enhanced chemiluminescent (ECL) imaging into one comprehensive device. It incorporates two NIR lasers, along with LED and CCD technology powered by FieldBrite technology to ensure even illumination across the imaging field. This integration results in higher sensitivity and dynamic range compared to traditional film and other CCD-based systems, making it suitable for tasks such as Western blotting, nucleic acid gels, and fluorescent protein gels. The Odyssey XF eliminates the need for post-capture image corrections, preserving data integrity and ensuring consistent, reliable results. Researchers are able to utilize the system’s six logs of linear dynamic range to achieve richer data sets. Additionally, it supports dual-channel multiplex fluorescence for detecting multiple targets concurrently.
