Medical Packaging Inc., LLC (MPI)’s Auto-Draw^® Oral Syringe Filling System is a semi-automatic solution that is capable of filling most oral slip syringes ranging from 1 mL up to 50 mL in volume of varying viscosities. With a compact footprint and easy-to-navigate touchscreen interface, MPI’s Auto-Draw Oral Syringe Filling System automates batch filling of syringes with speed, accuracy, and repeatability. Setup is as easy as drawing an empty syringe to the desired graduation mark and tapping the syringe to the screen, setting the draw which will be repeated for the duration of the filling process.

MPI’s Auto-Print^® unit dose packaging system for oral solids can now be custom fabricated to adopt the current drug canister technology available with most fully automated packaging systems. This customization provides the solution for specialized packaging runs, utilizing existing canisters and leaving your automated packaging system free for scheduled daily packaging.

MPI’s Auto-Print Oral Solid Feeder (OSF) features a revolutionary new design, state-of-the-art technology, and FDA-approved materials and coatings. This optional feeder attachment adapts to MPI’s Auto-Print, streamlining the packaging process for oral solids by aiding in the efficiency in which tablets and capsules are packaged into a unit dose. Bulk medication is loaded into the feeder, which will automatically feed the medication one at a time until all medications have been packaged, thus eliminating the need for manual hand feeding by the pharmacy technician and increasing sanitary conditions while packaging.

MPI’s Pharmacy Accessory Label Printers quickly and efficiently prints accurate barcoded labels to affix on ampoules, vials, and syringes. The PALP is comprised of a desktop printer and MPI’s exclusive Pak-EDGE UD Barcode Labeling Software, which are offered in two (2) different models to best meet the specific labeling needs of each facility: Direct Thermal Label Printer (DTLP): Provides the capability to print six (6) different size white labels, including white, red, yellow, and orange flag labels. Thermal Transfer Label Printer (TTLP): Provides the capability to print clear stem flag labels only. Two options are available.

MPI’s Auto-Wrap® Syringe Labeling System automates the process of labeling syringes and assists in increasing throughput while reducing repetitive stress injuries (RSI). This semi-automatic solution produces a printed label and automatically wraps it around a syringe in one single motion at the speed of up to twenty (20) syringes per minute. An independent time motion study conducted on MPI’s Auto-Wrap Syringe Labeling System concluded that significant time savings can be achieved through automation versus manual wrapping—anywhere from 1 ½ minutes to 2 ? minutes per batch of 25 syringes.
