Profemur Gladiator - Primary Hip Stems

The Profemur® line of primary hip stems has an established clinical history. Each Profemur® hip stem offers its own philosophy to provide fixation and replace bone anatomy. Triple taper stem philosophy" Designed for primary hip replacement surgery, the Profemur® Gladiator® hip stem is a triple tapered wedge stem with a distinct geometry. The hip stem is designed with a reduced lateral shoulder convenient for tissue sparing techniques. In addition to three point fixation, the stem’s shape also allows for medial and lateral contact with cortical bone. Plasma spray or HA coatings and an anteroposterior taper allow for contact in the frontal plane. Horizontal grooves are designed to more evenly distribute load forces, while vertical grooves assist with rotational stability.

MicroPort Lineage - Orthopedics Acetabular Cup Hip System

MicroPort Orthopedics acetabular cup systems have established clinical heritage built on over 25 years of clinical presence. Manufactured from titanium for biocompatibility and optimized stiffness, the market introduction of the Lineage® acetabular system delivered unsurpassed surgical flexibility for shell fixation and bearing material choice. The innovative internal shape is designed to allow for use of ceramic and A-Class® highly cross-linked liners. This gives the surgeon the option of choosing the bearing material most appropriate for the patient’s demands.

Microport - Orthopedics Acetabular Cup Systems

The Prime acetabular cup system is the next step in the evolution of the successful Dynasty® acetabular cup system. The system is optimized for a highly cross-linked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene bearing surface, eliminating the compromises associated with modularity to accommodate alternative bearing surfaces. By focusing on a singular bearing surface, the shell has also been optimized for modern fixation surfaces. Designed with simple, versatile instrumentation, the system can be used with a variety of surgical approaches.

Hips - Tissue Sparing Surgical Approaches

Anterior Path - Tissue Sparing Surgical Hip Approaches

The use of the cannula allows for a transverse incision to be made more superior and lateral, minimizing many challenges related to the femur and wound healing. The placement and orientation of the incision create excellent femoral exposure, alleviate challenges related to femoral preparation, and allow the use of any stem philosophy. The use of a portal to prepare the acetabulum allows direct visualization and in-line reaming and cup impaction.
