Infrastructure support service company May Gurney has won two contracts worth GBP£60m to provide waste management services in North Yorkshire and West Oxfordshire.

Under the contract with North Yorkshire County Council, May Gurney will manage 17 household waste recycling centres. The seven-year contract is valued at up to GBP£24m with the option to extend for a further three years.

May Gurney has won the £75 million contract to provide waste management services for Bridgend County Borough Council.

Waste management company May Gurney has been named preferred bidder for North Somerset’s £85 million environmental services contract.

Infrastructure services firm May Gurney has been awarded a £16 million four-year contract to operate and manage half of the recycling centres in Essex.

From 1 July, the firm will be operating 11 sites in South Essex, which recycle a large range of materials including garden waste, engine oil, plastic bottles and scrap metal. Additionally, they take bulky items such as unwanted furniture.
