NeoGenomics Laboratories services
Lab Services
Molecular Service
Our genomics laboratories in La Jolla, California (formerly Human Longevity Oncology), and Houston, Texas (formerly SeqWright Genomics), are outfitted for high throughput genomics. In addition to our molecular menu of validated assays spanning next-generation sequencing (NGS), DNA microarrays, qPCR/ddPCR, Sanger sequencing, NanoString, and liquid biopsy, we provide fully customizable, rapid assay development for your specific study.
Multiplexed Immunofluorescence Service
Utilizing deep learning and advanced cell classification algorithms, multiplexed immunofluorescence spatial analysis uncovers the complex interplay between multitudes of immuno-oncology biomarkers and provides complete analysis of the tumor microenvironment. Multiplexed immunofluorescence has emerged as an effective and proficient approach to simultaneously identify specific proteins and immune cell types, to determine the spatial distribution and activation state of immune cells, as well as the expression of immune modulators, all at the same time. This method is highly beneficial for exploring immune evasion mechanisms and finding potential biomarkers that allow researchers to assess the mechanism of action and predict and monitor drug response.
Methodologies
Anatomic Pathology
Histology, tissue staining using the latest in automated staining platforms, and digital pathology services form the foundation of a strong anatomic pathology program. Anatomic Pathology at NeoGenomics offers in-house comprehensive diagnostic services, backed by highly trained professionals, to provide oncologists and pathologists the information they need to determine the best treatment strategy and therapeutic options for patient care.
Cytogenetics Service
Cytogenetics is the study of normal and abnormal chromosomes in relation to disease. Sometimes called chromosome analysis or karyotyping, cytogenetic tests are used to gain diagnostic and prognostic insights regarding solid tumor cancers and hematologic malignancies, which can be the result of chromosome rearrangements or altered chromosome number (ploidy). Our cytogenetic tests include a traditional G-banding for metaphase analysis with an added proprietary wet lab process that enhances the length of chromosomes, improving test resolution, making detection of chromosomal changes more reliable and ensuring you and your patients are getting the highest quality results.
Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization Service
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) testing utilizes the combined strengths of traditional cytogenetics, DNA hybridization and fluorescent microscopy to identify sub-microscopic chromosomal structural rearrangements, variants, and low-frequency abnormalities beyond the limits of classic cytogenetic testing. Our full menu of FISH panels and tests provide physicians with flexible ordering options to aid in rapid and cost-effective characterization of hematologic diseases and solid tumors.
