Oceanit is proud to offer Applied Design Thinking as an alternative to general training workshops. Instead of a general focus where we teach you the methods, processes, and principles of Design Thinking, Applied DT is a problem-specific approach tailored to issues for our customer. Oceanit adopted Design Thinking (DT) in 2010, and in 2011 Oceanit co-founded the Design Thinking Hawaii Boot Camp, a three-day event that occurs annually. In addition to Design Thinking training workshops, Oceanit now offers consulting services and bespoke workshops for government organizations and businesses to spark strategic, creative, and innovative solutions to specific organizational problems.

Project management at Oceanit focuses on user and stakeholder pain points to successfully manage project goals and meet success criteria. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within a given timeline and with particular constraints. Often, the human element can become lost in the drive to achieve project completion, but Oceanit integrates Design Thinking into every piece of consulting that we perform, meaning we put human-centered needs and paint points first to help us understand how these challenges may affect a project.
