Remplir - Nerve Wrap
Every year, millions of people suffer peripheral nerve injury as the result of motor vehicle, sporting or work-related incidents. Nerve injuries result in pain, numbness, burning or tingling, or complete paralysis of the affected limb. Many people with nerve injuries are unable to work or participate in their favourite sport, and even simple things like getting dressed or making a cup of coffee becomes difficult. Surgery to repair damaged nerves is delicate and complicated, and only successful some of the time. Orthocell’s Remplir™ collagen membrane assists in rejoining severed or severely damaged peripheral nerves to restore function and sensation.
Orthocell - Autologous Tenocyte Implantation
Orthocell’s OrthoATI™ is a cell therapy for treatment of chronic degenerative tendon injuries. OrthoATI™ addresses a significant unmet clinical need for a non-surgical solution for a debilitating injury affecting millions of people every year. OrthoATI™ addresses the underlying pathology of tendon injury, replenishing degenerative tissue with healthy mature tendon cells. This unique treatment uses each patient’s own tendon-derived cells to stimulate tendon regeneration and is delivered via ultrasound guided injection under local anaesthetic. Orthocell has embarked on an evidenced based clinical development program focused on safety and performance in multiple tendon indications, including shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle.
Orthocell CelGro - Collagen Medical Device Platform Technologies
CelGro™ collagen medical device platform technologies is used to augment tissue repair and regeneration. CelGro™ is manufactured using a proprietary SMRT™ tissue engineering process to preserve the natural collagen structure.
Orthocell - Cell Therapies
Cell therapy aims to treat diseased or damaged tissue by local implantation or injection of healthy cells where tissue repair is needed. The use of a patient’s own cells (i.e autologous) to repair tissue damage reduces the risk of rejection or transmission of infectious diseases.
Pipeline - SMRT Graft - Tendon
Tendon injuries are one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints reported to general practitioners, with shoulder pain affecting more than 50% of adults over the age of 50. Mostly frequently, shoulder pain is the result of damage to the rotator cuff tendon. Rotator cuff tendon tears have a significant impact on the individual, not only affecting their ability to work or play sport, but also those common daily tasks that we take for granted, like dressing, having a shower, or even getting a good night’s sleep.
