Our History
Since its creation in the early 80’s, Prodimed is specialized in the design, manufacturing and distribution of single use medical devices in the fields of vascular surgery and gynecology.
A first factory was set up in Neuilly-en-Thelle in the Oise region of France and the activity quickly expanded on the French and international markets. Indeed, since the 80’s, Prodimed has been developing key products for the Laboratoire CCD, a pioneer in the field of gynecology, assisted reproduction technology and obstetrics.
In 2001, Prodimed buys Plastimed located in Le Plessis-Bouchard, in the Val-d’Oise department. Prodimed thus extends its expertise to anesthesia and resuscitation by designing and distributing ranges of catheters for vascular access, bronchoalveolar collection and lavage devices, emergency pleural drain as well as other devices dedicated to Critical Care. Our brands Combicath, Pleurocath, Seldicath are recognized and widely used throughout the world. Prodimed also distributes Seldiflex2 central venous catheters.
