STC Material Solutions produces a wide variety of hermetic windows and hermetic window assemblies. Windows can be made with sapphire, optical spinel, quartz, fused silica, BK7, grin lenses, or other transparencies. Hermetically sealed ceramic windows are ideal for applications which experience high temperatures or pressures. STC Material Solutions has successfully developed and produced a wide variety of hermetic window assemblies for many different end-users. Our customers include major defense OEM’s, aerospace start-ups, oil and gas exploration companies, medical device & surgical equipment manufacturers, and a host of industrial and instrumentation customers.

Feedthroughs for implantable devices are one of the main products STC Material Solutions supplies. STC Material Solutions played a key role in developing customized feedthroughs for medical implants. All medical feedthroughs are designed and manufactured using only biocompatible materials. Our engineering team has years of expertise in material selection. This ensures our feedthroughs are not only biocompatibile, but also optimized for production to control costs. STC Material Solutions typically designs feedthroughs with metallic pins brazed to ceramic insulators, which are then brazed to a metallic flange or housing. All feedthroughs are subjected to rigorous quality testing after brazing, including thermal shock, 100% visual inspection, helium leak check, and electric tests.
