Neurological impairments such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease can significantly affect a patient’s mobility, and many patients affected with these conditions have a significant long-term mobility impairment. One of the main challenges of existing neuro-rehabilitation treatment methods is effectively preserving or reestablishing the coordination between motricity (active movement) and the related neurosensory information. Resulting from a long run background in neurosciences, Techno Concept developed a solution that addresses these challenges with a unique an innovative neuro-rehabilitation therapy approach called “Functional Proprioceptive Stimulation” [FPS] and embedded into our medical solution Vibramoov.

Rehab Gaming : from assessment to rehabilitation. With 15 years of experience in the field of posturology, Techno Concept is specialized in designing efficient and easy-to-use solutions for therapists in the management of balance disorders. Rehab gaming, and in particular balance rehabilitation, meet a need for therapists to have tools for objectifying the practice of rehabilitation, as well as to allow the patient to become involved in a meaningful way. The goal is to be active in its healing process, through exercises adapted to his progress and providing real motivational support.

Among the three primary systems (vestibular, visual, and proprioceptive) involved in human balance, the vestibular system is in charge to detect the head motion and then to adjust these movement to our eyes. Our sight controls how our eyes are moving and then treats the information coming from outside. The somatosensory system then send information on the position and movement of the articulations, muscles. An unbalanced information of one system and everything is unbalanced and can provoke strong dizziness. The vestibular system includes the parts of the inner ear and brain that process the sensory information involved ith controlling balance and eye movements. If a disease or an injury damages this complex system, disorders or dizziness of balance, posture and movement can result.
