Cold nitrogen vapor stream is directed to the skin of the patient using a flexible. Liquid nitrogen is stored in a special 30-liter container. Device can be upgraded with a replacement bottle, allowing uninterrupted therapy.

Tholos as system of individual patient isolation and medical staff protection against SARS-COV-2 and other pathogens was created thanks to inspiration of doctors and scientists from Silesian University of Technology. This project resulted in creation of efficient isolation system of patient’s upper respiratory tract, filtration and elimination of pathogenic microorganisms and other pathogens from the exhaled air. Tholos is designed not to disturb even in the smallest degree performance of medical procedures, allowing at the same time air flow in the operating room in a closed circuit. The dimensions of the Tholos covers were minimized, thanks to which it is possible to use the system during all procedures, surgeries and intensive care units.
