Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the latest technology used in the asphalt industry.  RFID tags store electronically accessible information and do not require line of sight for reading, allowing them to be embedded in trucks. Each tag contains unique information, including Truck Identification Number(s), Company Name, and License Plate Number. RFID readers at the plant collect information as trucks pass, using it to automate various operations, such as opening access gates, issuing tickets, activating display boards and traffic lights, and managing receiving and loadouts. The aim is to achieve automation in the receiving and loadout process.
