The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing global pandemic. COVID-19 (also referred to as Coronavirus), is caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Coronaviruses are enveloped RNA viruses. They are names as such due to the spike proteins projecting from their surface. SARS-CoV-2 is one of 7 total coronaviruses that commonly infect humans and is one of the 5 beta coronaviruses.

The IONA Nx NIPT Workflow (IONA Nx) is Yourgene Health’s non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) that runs on the Illumina NGS platform. A fully validated workflow that utilises next generation sequencing (NGS) and has been developed to run on Illumina’s NextSeq 550Dx instrument.
