Model MAb 1418-16 - Monoclonal Anti-Parvovirus B19 VP1 Antibody - Datasheet

Parvovirus B19 propagates primarily in erythroid progenitor cells and is the causative agent of erythema infectiosum. The icosahedral virus capsid consists of two structural proteins, VP1 and VP2. VP1 differs from VP2 only by an additional N-terminal fragment. VP2 is the major capsid protein, and comprises approximately 95% of the total virus particle, whereas VP1 protein is incorporated into the capsid structure in a non-stochiometrical relation. The human monoclonal antibody MAb 1418-16 was generated from a human donor and is directed to a linear epitope of VP11.
