The importance of the Second Seal™ (oesophageal seal) is significant: it can minimise gastric insufflation and reduce the risk of aspiration1,2. Nevertheless, most research focuses on the First Seal™ (oropharyngeal seal) at the glottic inlet. LMA Supreme™ is a second generation, gastric access airway with an effective First Seal™ and Second Seal™.
