Three days of live demonstrations, over 500 exhibitors and thousands of products for the quarrying, construction and recycling industries.

Held in a limestone quarry, Hillhead has maintained its reputation as the UK`s largest quarrying exhibition, welcoming 20,000 visitors from across the world who come to experience the show`s unique atmosphere, meet suppliers and see the latest equipment, products and services on offer.

We want all of our exhibitors, sponsors and visitors to be able to come to Hillhead and feel safe and confident that we are doing all we can to reduce the risk posed by Covid-19.  We will be implementing a range of measures of which you can read more about here

All our exhibitors, sponsors, visitors and contractors will be able to attend Hillhead 2022 and feel confident that all necessary steps have been taken to reduce the risk posed by the Covid-19 virus.

As a member of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), we have been working with the association, its partners and its members to develop the industry-wide All Secure Standard. These guidelines have been approved by UK government and provide a framework of support and assessment to ensure a safe return to live events by setting common standards of health, safety and operational planning, management and onsite conduct.

We have produced a comprehensive guide to how these measures will be adopted and implemented at Hillhead 2022 which is available here.

In addition, exhibitors will be able to access dedicated Covid-19 specific risk assessment templates and an exhibitor guide via their Online Exhibitor Manual.

Exhibitors are being targeted by companies claiming to be, or work with Hillhead and the event`s organisers, The QMJ Group Ltd. They use existing event branding, email signatures and may appear genuine.  In the past this has included directories and hotel bookings but companies are now also claiming they can sell visitor data from events (eg prodataxperts.com). This is not the case.

Exhibitors need to be vigilant, read the small print, inform their exhibition, marketing and finance teams about the risk of scams and check with the organisers if they receive anything they are not expecting or are unsure of.

Organisations such as Event Fair, Fairs & Business, FairGuide.com/Construct Data Verlag, Expo Guide (Mexico) and International Fairs Directory (Portugal) are targeting exhibitors with their misleading directory services. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost the exhibitor a significant amount of money. The only official directory for Hillhead is via Quarry Management and all exhibitors receive a free listing as part of the stand package.

Under no circumstances does Hillhead/The QMJ Group sell or pass on visitor data to third parties and any company claiming to hold such information is fraudulent. We advise anyone receiving such communications not to respond or communicate with the company in any way, and delete it immediately.

Excavators, Wheel Loaders...

The Quarry Face demonstration area is one of Hillhead`s big attractions. Carefully prepared following the blast that takes place in late May, the area hosts over 35 machines and utilises three benches along an extended length of quarry face.

Being put through their paces will be large excavators and face shovels over 40 tonnes; hydraulic breakers; large wheel loaders; rigid and articulated dumptrucks; crushing and screening buckets; cold planers; jaw crushers, mist cannons and much more…
