Abera Receives grant from Vinnova

Abera Bioscience AB receives a grant from Vinnova, Sweden’s innovation agency, of SEK 400,000 within the call “Preparatory project for international application in health 2021”. Abera intends to attract the leading experts in the field and build a competitive consortium and project for the development of vaccines based on the company’s platforms to attract funding from the EU’s international health call next year. The grant from Vinnova aims at activities to strengthen that application.

Abera Bioscience is a biotechnology company that develops vaccine candidates based on patented vaccine platforms. The company has participated in numerous EU-funded projects and that has empowered the development and improvements of the platforms, proof-of-concepts and new promising vaccine candidates.

As a small company, grants from Vinnova and the EU are important to enable development of new ideas and pursue expensive projects, such as manufacturing and clinical studies.
