Connexion Welcomes Lindsay Weaver

I am pleased to announce the hiring of Lindsay Weaver who will be taking over Chris Lamberti’s position as Chris transitions into Lighting. Lindsay will be starting on Tuesday 5/27.

Here is a little bio on Lindsay:

Hi, I’m Lindsay! I’m excited to come and work for Connexion.

I have a background in the recreation, IT, food and beverage and fitness industries.

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northern Illinois University. I am a proud Huskie alumni. In college, the most important thing I’ve learned is to be skeptical of everything! During my days in DeKalb I’ve adopted my favorite saying, “It’s all about finding the silver lining.” I have attained a minor in Entrepreneurship and a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship, as well. Luckily, I was able to get in depth experience in the Social Service sector, Social Entrepreneurship while studying at NIU.

I was invited to study internationally in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to see the how distributing small business loans in impoverished and rural areas can vastly increase the quality of life in the community. In high school and college I participated in out of state mission trips and volunteer activities to help build and improved homes.

Funny facts about me are that I am a dog lover (lover doesn’t cut it, obsessed would be a better word), recent vegetarian, love to bake and cook, exercise enthusiast and love to travel.

My dream is to operate a facility where I can help handicapped persons have fun in the outdoors. I want to get a patent for a device that enables people in wheel chairs to walk and turn with no fear of falling.
