EchoPixel’s True3D Receives Medical Device Registration in Japan
EchoPixel’s True3D software platform, a pre-operative planning technology that creates a hologram of the heart for study before an incision is ever made, has received PMDA Medical Device Registration and Approval in Japan.
This first-of-its-kind software enables the entire heart surgical team to develop a precise personalized plan by interacting with specific organs and tissues as if they were actual physical objects.
EchoPixel’s True3D software platform will greatly benefit both seasoned and up-and-coming surgeons thanks to its ease of use and ability to offer a precise view of a patient’s anatomy according to Takeo Tedoriya, MD, medical administrator of the Ageo Central General Hospital Cardiovascular Center.
EchoPixel has partnered with Century Medical to distribute its True3D platform. View the news release
