A necessary premise

AlexPro Technical Specifications

The Xlase Plus platform (for face and body hair removal) with AlexPro handpiece, CE certified Medical Device is a dual wavelength diode 760/808nm.

This technology allows the emission of either a single wavelength or alternating 760nm/810nm wavelengths, always respecting the tissue interaction that is determined with these light sources.

The Biotec Italia Research and Development team has thought of combining two high-power 2000W diodes in a single handpiece: 810nm and 760nm, exploiting on the latter the power of the diode as well as the advantages of an alexandrite laser (755nm), very close to the wavelength we use.

The more a wavelength increases, the more it is able to penetrate into the tissues, the absorbance of the melanin target decreases with a hyperbolic profile towards lower and lower energy sources.

It becomes fundamental to respect the sequence of the emission of the two wavelengths, in order to have an optimal and effective interaction with the hair bulb and to reach 60-70 C° in the germination zone.

In other words, the first impact must be the deepest (810nm diode), which absorbed by the melanin, transforms our target on a three-dimensional level, the second, characteristic of the 760nm, will be more superficial and effective.

Being able to choose the use of the diode laser 810nm or 760nm, the device, through an internal algorithm for the management of fluences and working frequencies, will allow to deliver the energies weighted on the single wavelengths.

Two treatment modes

Biotec Italia offers a dual treatment mode with the AlexPro handpieces: Motion speed and Long pulse.

The Motion Speed mode is synonymous with patient comfort, treatment speed and clinical outcome.

Combining the cooling of the skin with repeated laser pulses up to a frequency of 10 pulses per second, without the risk of side effects and in the absence of discomfort when compared to other lasers and pulsed lights on the market.

The cooled sapphire tip, throughout the treatment, helps to lower the temperature of the skin, maintaining it at safe and comfortable levels.

The standard Long Pulse mode consists of long, single pulse or pulse train. This mode ensures effectiveness even in patients with light hairs or hairs that are more difficult to treat.

If this type of treatment is chosen, the duration of the impulse can also be modulated, thus varying both the depth of penetration and the distribution of energy.
