PerkinElmer Hosts “Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit” Series
Global leader in life sciences solutions assembles thought leaders for the 4th consecutive year to inspire innovation for eradicating disease and personalizing global health
WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced that the Company is hosting the Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit. With the first 2012 event beginning on June 7th, PerkinElmer has assembled thought leader forums across several disciplines in human health, to catalyze and promote innovation directed towards preventing and eradicating critical diseases. The events will be held in Boston, London (UK), China, Japan and other regions, with nearly 700 registered attendees for the June 7th – 8th Boston summit event.
The Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit is a platform for researchers, physicians, caregivers and investors to network and share best practices in science and business, and participate in cutting-edge discussions to help advance disease research. The meeting programs feature world-renowned experts in their areas of interest, presenting key insights on finding, understanding, and acting upon the causes and effects of disease. There will be a special focus this year on epigenetics and the prevention of disease, as well as early detection and treatment.

The first Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit event for 2012 will be held on June 7th and 8th in Newton, Mass. The next event will take place in London on June 12th and in other parts of the world in August, October and November. Over the course of six events, participants will explore the most pressing and potentially transformational areas of research including biotherapeutics, next generation sequencing, imaging (cellular, tissue and animal), informatics, molecular diagnostics and screening, biomarkers, and targeted small molecule drug discovery. The Summit builds upon several years of successful and highly-attended customer-based events on revolutionary technologies in health, originated by the former Caliper Life Sciences, Inc., acquired by PerkinElmer in late 2011.
