Retail vendor compliance conference focuses on “Managing the Global Retail Revenue Cycle”

MINNEAPOLIS - Verisae announces that Mr. Paul Hepperla, Verisae’s vice president of product strategy for Sustainability Resource Planning (“SRP”), will speak on supply chain sustainability at the VCF Fall Annual Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference, which will take place on November 7-10, 2010, will attract attendees that are interested in learning about strategies to help retailers take advantage of the recovering economy. Specifically, the conference focuses on supply chain issues.

With retail giants like Wal-Mart pushing suppliers to “green their supply chain”, the issues of supply and sustainability have become intrinsically tied. Additionally, suppliers and retailers are both becoming equally vested in the conception, development, actualization and execution of products. Thus, the conference hopes to bring both groups together to collaboratively look at supply chain and product life cycle management.

“Creating a sustainable supply chain doesn’t happen over night; it’s a process,” says Mr. Hepperla. “Every organization is at a different point in the sustainability journey and it’s important to start the process by attaining granular level data on operations and the supply chain. The Fall VCF Conference and my presentation in particular will help attendees identify where they are in the journey, what data they should be gathering and the next steps they should consider.”

This year’s VCF Fall Annual Conference also lands on the organization’s 10th anniversary. Thus, the group has planned a special three-track program to address needs they have seen in the marketplace. The three tracks focus on: Collaborative product life cycle management; global supply chain product risk; and their traditional on supplier and retailer focus.
