BioModels - Anatomical Model

BioModels are an anatomical model derived from the patient`s CT scan data to provide tactile representation of the patient’s anatomy and condition. BioModels may assist with diagnosis informed consent, and precise planning of the sequence of surgery. BioModels may be used to plan incisions and osteotomies and can be sterilised and used as an intra-operative navigation tool. Clinical data shows BioModels reduce total surgery time and therefore reduce patient exposure to anaesthetics and blood loss. In neurosurgery, BioModels have demonstrated utility in skull base surgery, cerebrovascular anomalies, tumour resection and cranial reconstruction.
