Their multi-layer capability is tailored for seamless retrofitting, allowing transition between configurations, such as 3-layer to 5-layer setups. Besides standard materials handling, these dies are capable of managing high temperatures up to 420°C and integrate specialized design elements for unique materials. Options like Inner Bubble Cooling (IBC) and Continuous Bubble Diameter Control (CBC) enhance product performance, with additional solutions such as separate control units for up to 20 heating zones. These products offer precision for diverse applications, from pipe and hose dies to specialized medical dies and multi-channel dies, ensuring adaptability and consistent quality in film production processes.

Multi-layer dies for 2 up to 13 layers are suitable for different numbers of layers. For these processes, COLLIN delivers dies with radial spiral mandrel distributors, moreover, different mandrels and matrix are available. The retrofitting between different layers can easily and quickly be realised – e. g. from 3-layer to 5-layer.

Axial spiral mandrel distributor blown film dies

  • Use: for mono-layer blown films
  • Standard die diameter: 25 mm to 100 mm
  • Due to the own design of the die geometry and the simulation of the flow in the die, also special dies for materials with difficult flow characteristics can be developed.

Radial spiral mandrel distributor blown film dies
