Kanters Intesti-Flora - Contains Prebiotics
ntesti-Flora is a product based on copper-chelates and organic acids, such as lactic acid, propionic acid and sorbic acid. In addition, Intesti-Flora contains prebiotics in forms of inulin. It is a product that is water soluble and therefore suitable for administration via the drinking water of farm animals.
The effect of copper-chelates and organic acids
Copper plays an important role in diverse body processes, which makes it an essential trace element. Several studies indicate that supplementation of copper leads to improved health and growth of poultry In addition, copper possesses interesting antimicrobial properties. The advantage of using copper-chelates relative to other copper sources is that the binding with chelates ensures a better uptake, particularly at the intestinal site.
The unique combination of organic acids are also known for their antibacterial properties, since they lower the pH which leads to growth inhibition of potential pathogenic bacteria within the gastro-intestinal tract. In addition, they support the digestion of protein by lowering the pH within the stomach. In contrary, lactic acid has a growth promoting effect on positive bacteria such as Lactobacillus. Intesti-flora contains furthermore inuline, which is a prebiotic, in order to enhance the growth of positive bacteria even more.
When to use Intesti-Flora
Intesti-Flora is successfully used for a good intestinal function during the starter period, before- and after feed changes, after vaccinations, and to support the protein digestion within the gastro-intestinal tract.
