Custom Blocks / TBI

The need for custom photon blocks has become rare with the advent of multileaf collimators (MLC). And for those clinics that offer TBI, it is typically a low volume treatment. To carry the safety and regulatory overhead for an in-house block/mold room for low volume devices may not be cost effective for a clinic, not to mention that storage and office space in most clinics is at a premium. As a result, many radiation therapy clinics have elected to shut down their block rooms and outsource special photon blocks and TBI blocks to .decimal along with their electron cutout needs. Our Materials
