Corcym -Model DETACH -Detacheable Head Aortic Cross Clamp
Parallel jaw closure provides more uniform clamping forces along the length of the jaws, and minimizes the total clamping force necessary for complete aortic occlusion. The detachability aspect of the Clamp Head, which leaves the access space non-obstructed, makes DeTACH an ideal cross clamp for MICS procedures.
Clamp sizes
The cross clamp design includes small, medium and large Clamp Head configurations, with jaw lengths of 55 mm, 65 mm and 85 mm (respectively), in order to accommodate limited access working fields1 while ensuring complete transverse clamping of the varying aortic diameters.
Clamp head designThe DeTACH design includes an additional hinge on the upper jaw (pivot jaw) of the detachable Clamp Head, which allows the upper jaw to pivot independently of the actuator arm that moves it between the open and closed positions.
Delivery deviceThe ergonomic DeTACH Delivery Device design facilitates one handed operation and allows for a quick and simple engagement, opening, closing, locking, disengagement, re-engagement and unlocking relationship with the detachable Clamp Head.
The Delivery Device is equipped with a safety “clutch” mechanism that will not allow the operator to exert clamping forces strong enough to damage or break the clamp head components, while also limiting the maximum force the clamp head can exert on a target vessel.
The DeTACH cross clamp system also includes a Quick Release Device designed for an efficient and simple engagement, unlocking, opening, and retrieval of the clamp head in the event that the Delivery Device becomes damaged or sterility is compromised during the course of a procedure.
