Model Basic -DEXA InAlyzer
Longitudinal studies
Data may be gathered for the same subjects repeatedly over a study period with minimal harm to the animal subjects, using simple anesthesia and no dissection.
High resolution images
The InAlyzer provides high-resolution images of 5.0 lp/mm, enabling structural analysis as well as providing various images, such as bone and body composition images, for easy analysis.
Compact size & safety
The InAlyzer is a compact desktop instrument. Internal lead shielding effectively protects researchers from radiation exposure, making the instrument safe for extended use.
Easy documentation
Reports are easy to generate because objective data and images can be stored in external file formats, such as Excel and Tiffs.
Monitoring camera
The built-in, real-time camera allows you to observe movement of the animal in the scanning area.
Access point for anesthesia
Anesthesia is used in many animal studies to immobilize animals while scanning or imaging. The InAlyzer provides an access point to allow continuous anesthetic gas flow and ensure complete animal immobility during imaging.
Selectable scan time
The InAlyzer can measure in three modes: Quick (1 min), Optimum (3min), and Accuracy (5min), according to the level of accuracy required.
Comparison to Lunar PIXImus
The DEXA InAlyzer offers a well-tested technology for the measurement of bone mineral density and body composition in laboratory animals. The InAlyzer DEXA systems are as much as five times faster than the PIXImus, and the InAlyzer provides greater precision. A key InAlyzer benefit is the option to handle lab animals as large as 3000 grams, while the PIXImus is limited to 50 grams.
