MicroBlaster - Model MB1002 - Dual Tank Micro-Abrasive Blaster
For applications that require a two-step process, Comco’s Dual Tank MicroBlaster model MB1002 is the ideal machine. With the Dual Tank, an operator can blast a part with an aggressive cutting abrasive to remove burrs and quickly change to a peening abrasive to impart a different finish on the same part. Precision machine shops, facilities performing circuit board rework, and dental labs all benefit from the versatility of the MicroBlaster Dual Tank. This lightweight blasting unit fits on top of any workbench. The 2 lb. capacity powder tanks are quick and easy to fill. The Dual Tank MicroBlaster is engineered to perform day after day in multiple shift, high volume production environments.
- Two 2 lb. Abrasive Tanks with QuickFill Feature
- Allows for the Use of 2 Different Abrasive Media at the Same Time
- No Fear of Cross Contamination
- Increased Operator Convenience
Constant Air Bleed – In some applications such as hypodermic needle processing, it is necessary to have the nozzle located in an environment near cutting fluids or moisture. Moisture in this area could cause the abrasive to clump up and clog the nozzle. Blasters equipped with the Constant Air Bleed provide a low pressure, continuous stream of air flowing out through the nozzle, preventing moisture from migrating up inside the tip.
Tank Extenders – The powder capacity of a standard MicroBlaster® tank is equivalent to 2 lb. of aluminum oxide. Tank extenders are available that double or triple the powder capacity.
Blast Timer – When the duration of each blast is crucial to a process, the External Blast Timer provides the solution. When the blast timer is set, depressing the blaster foot switch activates the blast cycle for only the preset period of time. The External Blast Timer provides increased control and a higher degree of repeatability to the process.
High Pressure models – For special applications, single and dual tank blasters are available in
High Pressure models. The higher air pressure provides an increase in the cutting action, which enables the abrasive stream to penetrate thick compounds and coatings more efficiently.
