The Soft Mini-2 device employs reflection photometry to measure the melanin content of skin. Readings are rapid and user-friendly and are shown on the LCD display.
The melanin content of skin varies according to the phototype and the time of exposure to UV rays.
Readings using the Soft Mini-2 will range from 0 to 100. Values up to 10 are obtained on very light skin and 100 on very dark skin.
