Compared with traditional laparoscopic surgery, robot assisted surgery has the advantages of providing real-time 3D vision, and precise control of the surgical arms, which allows for highly dexterous manipulation within a narrow space, thereby shortening time of the operation, reducing surgical trauma, and is more conducive to the protection of nerves and blood vessels. Post-surgery, patients` physiological functions such as urinary control and erectile ability are preserved.

“Whether it is the high-definition visual effects presented by 3D laparoscopy, or the dexterity and precision provided by the surgical arm. The Toumai™ Endoscopic Surgery Robot is able to provide performance that is on par with global leaders in the field, and is competent in fulfilling the complex and delicate demands of a radical prostatectomy surgery.” Academician Sun Yinghao.
