DigiPointeur - Model 9009 Recorder - ENT Surgical Navigation System
Developed by the French Armed Forces’ Medical Department and manufactured in France by Collin, the DigiPointeur® Surgical Navigation System has been specifically designed for ENT surgery and otoneurosurgery. Born from the close collaboration of our team of engineers and ENT surgeons, our system is an invaluable assistant each time you face a difficulty in tracking a target.
Infallibly precise, it can be quickly and simply integrated into your operating environment owing to its highly-refined ergonomics: an extreme miniaturization of its components, simple controls and a complete freedom of movement.
Though simple to use, thanks to its intuitive rapid-learning interface, DigiPointeur® has been equipped with powerful and often unique functions. The multi-modal and retargeting functions, the preoperative patient case history examination, the «FreeHead» ancillary provide a guaranty of a total compatibility with your chosen surgical approach.
- Endonasal surgery
- Skull base surgery
- Otoneurosurgery
Simplicity of use
Powerful systems offering a wide range of capabilities are generally bulky and complicated to use. The DigiPointeur® system, though equipped with extensive functions, has been designed for simplicity and performance.
Rapid installation and start-up
Computer-assisted navigation is now acknowledged as an essential tool thanks to its increased level of safety and precision. However, the time required to install, start and calibrate the system, and to carry out imagery targeting and all of the standard checking procedures, greatly reduces the day-to-day practicality of such systems. DigiPointeur®’s installation, startup and checking procedures have been optimized to a strict minimum. The entire system is operational in less than 4 minutes.
User-friendly interface
DigiPointeur® does not require any additional command devices which may be possible sources of confusion (pedals, buttons etc…). Its operation is entirely intuitive and assisted by explicit screen icons, allowing the user to become rapidly independent.
Integrated video
Integration of endoscopic video imaging into the main screen provides increased visual comfort and allows a complete and systematic backup of all data.
Patient imagery is obtained without markers
Images are obtained with a standard ENT scanner. The protocol used is simple and does not require the use of a headset nor glued or screwed. In most cases the images used for the diagnosis can also be used for the surgery to reduce cost and patient radiation exposure.
Transfer images and movies
Movies and images can be transferred to an USB device.
Modalities
CT-Scan, MRI, Multimodality registration fusion CT, MRI, PET.
No operation costs
The DigiPointeur® system requires no consumable during surgery. Its systematic use is suitable in al surgical procedures and will be light to your budget.
Sub-millimeter precision
All the ENT approaches are possible with versatile patient referencing ancillaries
Versatile:
HEADSET, BUCCOSTAT, QUICK FIX, or OCTOPUS
BUCCOSTAT: buccal reference ancillary.
OCTOPUS: specific a-traumatic ancillary dedicated to new born and pediatric surgeries.
QUICK FIX: bone reference ancillary.
ENT operations
Simple yet sophisticated instruments
→ The standard endonasal version
The handpiece has been designed to provide a comfortable grip, both firm and precise, and equally suited to left or right-handed users. Your tactile feeling is totally preserved.
Two complete sets of sterilizable endonasal instruments are provided with each DigiPointeur® system, allowing you to schedule a second ENT operation without having to wait for the instruments to be sterilized.
A range of specific adapters is also available for use with most surgical instruments.
A complete range of shaver adaptors
DigiPointeur® is compatible with most of the existing systems.
→ Forceps adaptor
→ Sinus Ostia Dilatation balloon adaptor
You can drive the balloon with DigiPointeur® since navigation is more accurate than transillumination.
→ Lateral Skull Base Surgery (Otoneurosurgery)
A specific autoclavable handpiece has been designed for use with the microscope.
Security assured
All navigation data and parameters are constantly monitored and checked throughout surgery by the Safe-TrackTM system which ensures rapid detection and possible correction of any incoherence in the data. Should any distortion occur, it will be immediately detected and displayed on the screen as a circle of uncertainty around the positioning cursor. In the mean time, the image rendering system continues to function smoothly with no change in the display to maintain optimum visual comfort. The DigiPointeur® System thus combines all the advantages of electromagnetic navigation (complete freedom of movement)
System access security
Various system functions and procedures are password-protected to guarantee patient data confidentiality and to provide complete traceability of all DigiPointeur® uses.
