FEP-encapsulated O-rings from Alwin Höfert KG are designed for industries requiring enhanced chemical resistance and durability, such as the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. These O-rings comprise an elastic core made of Viton® or silicone elastomers, which is seamlessly enclosed in a thin-walled sheath of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP). The thickness of the FEP sheath is determined by the inner diameter and cross-sectional thickness of the sealing ring. Available in cord sizes ranging from 1.5 mm to 19.0 mm, these O-rings ensure the required elasticity through their core materials while delivering exceptional chemical resistance thanks to the FEP covering. This combination provides exceptional sealing performance even under harsh conditions, ensuring reliability in various industrial applications.

FEP-encapsulated O-rings have an elastic core made of Viton® or silicone (Si). The Viton® or silicone O-ring is seamlessly enclosed by a thin-walled FEP jacket. The thickness of the FEP jacket depends on the inner diameter of the sealing ring and its cross-sectional area.
