Accurate to the millimeter thanks to fixed reference points and state-of-the-art materials, the PeriKit solution has the advantage of being able to measure the body with a high degree of repeatability (proved by the Bland and Altman test). Combining the advantages of digital, empirical and traditional measuring devices, it reduces measurement errors to a minimum. These errors cost between 2 and 7 million euros per year to Belgian medical institutions. With its high accuracy, the PeriKit is set to become an international reference measuring instrument, allowing for the first time to establish comparative biometric data.
Perikit remains first and foremost a medical measuring instrument, in its broadest sense. Thus, this instrument with essential biometric capabilities will play a key role in the accuracy of diagnosis, in the establishment and effectiveness of the right treatment, but also in the progression of care and pathology over time. It will allow a regular and rapid reassessment of treatment protocols and will act as an incentive for the patient through regular monitoring and objective improvement of their results.
For all, by all, everywhere!Economical and easy to use, the PeriKit will quickly become an essential accessory in your daily life. Whether you are a sportsman, a patient, a nutritionist/dietician, a medical or a paramedical professional, the context of use of the PeriKit is very varied: to follow the progression of your muscle mass, to quantify the speed of your weight loss or to order your custom-made items.
A breakthrough in the world of medical measuring instruments.
Based on the good medical practices rules and designed by a doctor of physical therapy, the effectiveness of PeriKit is based on several scientific studies conducted recently: "Reproducibility and reference point of the measurement"; "Sensitivity of the test"; "Intra-/inter-observer mechanisms between assessors"; ... A study carried out at the Washington Congress showed that measurement errors of less than 1.5 millimeters were observed when 4 different people used PeriKit on the same patient.
Better! In all aspects.
The PeriKit developed in Brussels (Belgium) by our R&D department. The kit consists of a graduated tape measure of adaptable length, placed longitudinally on a limb on which measuring devices are installed. A small measuring device takes circumference measurements at the desired spot, while it is braked and fixed by a stabilization mechanism. Each device is equipped with an eyelet (opening) for accurate reading of the results.
- Affordable: economically interesting compared to the current market solutions available.
- With the best value for money.
- In accordance with INAMI and RESIF standards, the values can be adapted according to each manufacturer.
- Independent of any logistics (only 1 person requested to use it).
- Adjustable to all limb lengths.
- Accurate: no addition of measurement errors, thanks to a non-stretchable tape measure.
