Kanters - Model CFC - Flora Mix
CFC Flora Mix is a product based on a combination of organic acids, short chain fatty acids in form of butyric acid and a prebiotic in form of oligofructosesirup. It is a product that is water soluble and therefore suitable for administration via the drinking water of farm animals.
The effect of organic acids, oligofructosesirup and butyric acid
The unique combination of organic acids are known for their antibacterial properties, since they lower the pH which leads to growth inhibition of potential pathogenic bacteria within the gastro-intestinal tract. In addition, they support the digestion of protein by lowering the pH within the stomach.
CFC Flora Mix contains furthermore a prebiotic in forms of oligofructosesirup, which enhances the growth of positive bacteria even more. Oligofructosesirup is regarded as a food source for the ‘good’ micro-organisms within the colon that ferment it into butyric acid, which in turn provide nutrients and growth signals for the intestinal epithelium. In addition, supplementing butyric acid itself contributes to an optimal intestinal health and improves growth performance in poultry. This can be explained since butyrate acid affects immune responses, elicits shifts in microbiota composition as a result of its bacteriostatic properties and influences several digestive processes by regulating production of certain satiety hormones.
When to use CFC Flora Mix
CFC Flora Mix is successfully used to promote a good intestinal flora and with that a good intestinal function. This results in better growth performance, lower feed conversion rates and lower mortality.
